My dearest patients,

Wow !!! Is summer coming to a close?

Can’t believe it’s September already.

Well, fall is almost here and our kids are starting school.

I had a deep conversation with my daughter Sydney as she will start 8th grade this year.

I asked her a serious question: Do you like school?

The answer was a resounding NO, as expected.

The follow up question: why are you doing well in school then?

She said she learned to discipline herself and put in the work to make good grades.

It’s not fun studying late at night, sacrificing sleep, delaying playtime with friends, but necessary if she wants to continue to be in the Honors Society.

The moral of this story is that we all need to apply discipline in our lives. As hard as it is with our daily tasks, activities, work, etc… We just need to make health our priority because at the end of the day, health is what keeps us going in all aspects of our life. As your concierge doctor, I have given each of you assignments on how to improve your health during your visits with me. Now it’s up to you to develop the discipline to eat better, get physically fit and mentally strong as there is nothing more important in life than your health. No more excuses of being too busy and not having enough personal time. You have to make sacrifices and have the discipline to match your motivation.

Now, I might sound harsh and very straight forward, please don’t take it personally and know that I have the best interest in my heart for you! As a provider, I care deeply about each and every one of you and your health needs.
